Concept
Mobile phones have become smaller and smaller from the black giant ones in the past. They have also started to strive for convenience on usage of buttons; users can grasp a mobile phone on one hand and dial or listen at the same time. As for the concept of the Luxpro products' R&D and design, the first one is an mp3 player made of an alloy of magnesium and aluminum and the outer covering can be changed, which is the concept of mobile phones. Similarly, light, thin and small mp3 players have also entered into the market slowly. Our R&D ability created first-class tone quality, easy use, and many additional unprecedented functions, such as large-faceplate language learning EZ Listen series, or patent EZ Share series and interface that can directly send files or music without a computer etc. Then how do we make an mp3 player that can be held and controlled by one hand like mobile phones? We got our inspiration from a Hong Kong movie, which are the common Tien-chiu dominoes in the Chinese world. Tien-chiu dominoes can be said to be dominoes in the common domino competition in the Guinness Book of World Records. The size of Tien-chiu dominoes are just suitable to be grasped by one hand. Once the size is appropriate and buttons on the front are made, then an ergonomic, light, thin and small mp3 player can be produced.
Name
Because of the idea of Tien-chiu dominoes, we also started to think about the product name related to Tien-chiu dominoes. We finally decided to use Tangent. Because it has similar pronunciation as “Tien-chiu” dominoes, and the meaning, besides the tangent line in trigonometric function, has a meaning of a straight line, which conformed to the product itself.
Appearance
In the constitution of Tien-chiu dominoes, the domino has a black base, and there are white and red dots inside. Therefore, for the color of the first
-batch of products, we designed three kinds including black, white and red. Since we want to make it light, thin and small, we must adopt the method of a built-in lithium battery. However, if users want to change batteries by the mselves, it would be difficult to change the built-in lithium battery. Therefore, we adopted the concept of a changeable outer covering in the past. Users can take off the outer covering easily and pull out the lithium battery to change a new lithium battery. There is no need to damage the outer covering, no need to send it back to the original factory to wait for a long time or use a smoothing iron or welding torch to take off the battery.
Certainly, the outer covering also allows users to change outer coverings themselves. Although there are only three colors at present, we will introduce more colors according to different cultures and hobbies around the world later on.
Functions
We are proud to innovate functions. We have our own R&D team in Taiwan . From the direct sending of EZ Share to the real simultaneous word and voice language-learning function of EZ Listen, we have given much pressure to the competitors. As for users, it will not be convenient for FM listening, which means users will not know the frequency of radio stations and how much frequency it has searched. Therefore, we created the first mp3 player with VPS (Voice Positioning System) in the world. While FM is broadcasted, it will have the function of VPS, and there will be a real person's voice informing the current radio station and frequency. As for the language types of voices, users only need to change a file in the player to change the Chinese voice easily into English, Japanese, German or any other language we recorded (cartoon voice might be great!) The Luxpro R&D team is thinking about allowing users to record their own voices, so users can listen to FM and hear their voices tell themselves the FM frequency.
